How we work

From file to print run: four steps, control at every stage.

At Artebe there are no hidden processes. Every piece goes through the same phases, in the same order, with the same person overseeing it. This is what happens from the moment we receive your file until it leaves through the door.

01

Brief and colour proof

We receive your file (Illustrator, vector PDF or, if needed, a raster image) and we send a proof for you to sign off on the exact colour before printing.

In this phase we decide together the substrate, the ink and the finish. If you have a fixed Pantone, we match it; if not, we proof from your visual reference. You sign the proof: no signature, no print run.

  • Analysis of the received file and verification of paths
  • Definition of substrate (vinyl, polycarbonate, machined part, paper…)
  • Selection of the right ink and drying system
  • Physical proof on the final material, with colour sample
  • Client signature on the proof as a guarantee
02

Preparation of screens and inks

We expose the mesh, adjust registration and tension, and prepare the inks — including Pantone and custom mixes.

Each colour is a screen. Before printing we check mesh tension, colour-to-colour registration and ink viscosity. If the job involves a Pantone mix, we calibrate it against a physical sample. Preparation happens on the same day as the print run to avoid humidity or temperature variations.

  • Exposure of screens with calibrated mesh
  • Tensioning and multi-colour registration verification
  • Pantone and spot ink mixing
  • Viscosity control on every printing shift
  • Substrate jigging (guide plates, registration)
03

Printing and drying

Machine print run with control on every pass. UV or oven drying depending on substrate and selected ink.

We print colour by colour, letting each pass dry as the ink system requires. For industrial runs with UV ink, we dry in line; for conventional runs or on delicate substrates, we use ovens or natural rack drying. We check quality every set number of units — not at the end.

  • Colour-by-colour printing with registration verification
  • In-line UV or oven drying depending on ink
  • Periodic sample inspection during the run
  • Stop and recalibration if drift is detected
  • Control of accepted vs. rejected units
04

Finishing and delivery

Die-cutting, resin doming if applicable, final quality control and packaging. Ready for your line or your client.

Finishing is the phase that separates a correct piece from a professional piece. Here we die-cut, apply doming if required, fit industrial adhesive on front panels, and check piece by piece when the run allows it. We pack according to destination: palletised, in individual boxes, or in reels.

  • Flat or rotary die-cutting depending on the run
  • Resin doming (when the product requires it)
  • Industrial adhesive application (3M 200MP / 467MP)
  • Final piece-by-piece or sample-based quality control
  • Packaging according to destination and transport
  • Delivery note and invoice with run traceability

Got the file ready? Send it over.

We start with the proof. If it fits, we print. No strings, no complicated paperwork.
